Let’s be serious for a minute….

We are passionate about locally sourced produce.

It’s far more than just a sweeping statement but an underpinning ethos to live by, here at The Chester Fields. What we mean by that is that it’s our reason for being. It’s about revelling in the here and now, quite literally!

We believe in creating unpretentious, bold cooking which reflects the seasons and brings the very best of what our area has to offer to the table.

With 30 years in the culinary field, leading several successful kitchens and discovering an increasing passion for responsible, sustainable and locally sourced produce as a way of life, Chef Helder is the perfect fit for our 3-time gold award-winning Country Pub and Restaurant.

Helder grew up learning to cook and spent much time in his beloved mother’s kitchen, where he was taught how to create dishes from scratch, oftentimes with fresh produce from the garden, and how to be imaginative with food, to never stop exploring and venturing out from the known into new, uncharted food territory.

Helder loves contemporary fusion and creating dishes sourced with produce from just around the corner.

Watch Helder’s Cookery Demonstration at this year’s Chester Food and Drink show on Saturday 20th April at 11am (just before Sunday Brunch’s celebrity chef, Simon Rimmer)

We want you to come in, slow down,
linger a while and enjoy this way of life.
